Job Description Summary

Responsible for supervising and directing subordinate air conditioning and refrigeration mechanics, planning, scheduling and performing major and minor repairs on building refrigeration and air conditioning systems, kitchen equipment and other similar equipment.

Minimum Qualifications
  1. One to two years of college credit (30 credit hours is equivalent to one year) or equivalent formal training in related field.
  2. Combination of education and related experience for a total of four to five years.
  3. Master A/C Refrigeration license in Prince George’s County.
  4. Refrigerant Recovery Certification.
  5. Eight (8) years of experience in general A/C equipment maintenance and repair preferred. # Supervisor experience preferred.

  1. General knowledge of OSHA regulations and a working knowledge of standard practices, methods, tools and materials.
  2. Supervisory knowledge, skills and experience in the field of HVAC.
Job Requirements
  1. Must be able to work Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Work schedule subject to change based on department needs.
  2. Ability to effectively communicate in spoken and written standard English.
  3. A limited background investigation will be conducted prior to offer of employment. A signed authorization for release of personal information will be required if selected for an interview.
  4. As required by the 1986 Immigration Act, be prepared to present acceptable documentation showing your identity and that you are a U.S. citizen or an alien who is authorized to work.
