Job Description Summary

Responsible for the development and implementation of a comprehensive recruitment and matriculation plan to meet enrollment goals and increase conversion rates. Direct all recruitment programs and activities; provide leadership in utilizing innovative recruitment strategies; leverage new and existing technologies for maximum effectiveness. Cultivate strong partnerships/alliances with academic divisions, high schools and community outreach programs in Prince George’s County and the District of Columbia. Collaborate with retention services and programs to support prospective students, parents and families; attract new market segments and expand the student base. Oversee all components of the College’s admissions policies, procedures and processes for both general and specialty admissions.

Minimum Qualifications
  1. Master’s Degree in related field.
  2. Three years full-time or equated experience in the professional area.
  3. Must have supervised personnel and administered programs directly related to the professional area for a minimum of three years.
  4. Experience with large, interactive computer systems such as Ellucian/Recruiter preferred.

  1. Ability to recruit students and understand student privacy laws; some marketing experience.
  2. Ability to work independently and with a team on multiple tasks; ability to produce accurate, detail oriented output.
  3. Ability to manage and train staff.
  4. Ability to use interactive data systems; ability to analyze, interpret and report data.
  5. Familiarity with such Federal reporting entities as Immigration and Citizenship Enforcement (ICE).
  6. Proficiency with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel; thorough familiarity with FERPA and other mandates impacting education records.
Job Requirements
  1. Must be available Monday – Friday 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. Work schedule subject to change based on the needs of the department.
  2. Ability to communicate effectively in spoken and written Standard English.
  3. As required by the 1986 Immigration Act, be prepared to present acceptable documentation showing your identity and that you are a U. S. citizen or an alien who is authorized to work.
  4. A limited background investigation will be conducted prior to offer of employment. A signed authorization for release of personal information will be required if selected for an interview.
