Job Description Summary

Mathematics and English/Reading instructors needed for college preparation program with high school students. The program runs from July 10, 2017-August 3, 2017 at Prince George’s Community College 8:00 am – 2:00 pm. This program will be repeated multiple times over the next several semesters. This program is grant based and dependent upon grant funding. The curriculum has been designed and successfully used with multiple groups of high school students. The curriculum is hands-on and student-centered, and provides the skills and concepts needed to pass college entrance exams.

Minimum Qualifications
  1. Must have teacher certification in Mathematics, English, or Reading for Middle School or Secondary Education OR college teaching experience in one of these three areas, OR either certification or college teaching in related fields.
  2. Must have strong pedagogical skills in hands-on, interactive teaching.
