Job Description Summary

In partnership with the Prince George’s County Youth Enrichment Program for 2017, Prince George’s Community College is offering young people ages 15-19 an opportunity to gain life, social, and job skills. Youth@Work Instructors are responsible for delivering a structured workforce development curriculum in a manner that is dynamic, engaging, and empowering. The instructional environment is designed to encourage a balance of direction, doing, and debriefing.

Minimum Qualifications
  1. Bachelor’s degree preferred
  2. Previous experience delivering academic or personal development curricula.
  3. One year full-time or equivalent part-time experience in providing direct services (instruction or tutoring) in an educational or human service environment.

  2. Demonstrate the ability to communicate effectively in spoken and written Standard English.
  3. Provide evidence of teaching certifications, or other professional qualifications listed on the application.
  4. As required by the 1986 Immigration Act, be prepared to present acceptable documentation showing your identity and that you are a U.S. citizen or an alien who is authorized to work.
  5. Must have reliable transportation to the training sites located in Prince George’s County.
  6. A fingerprint supported background investigation will be conducted prior to the offer of employment. A signed authorization for release of personal information will be required if selected for an interview.
