Job Description Summary
Minimum Qualifications
  1. Completion of ‘Principles of Accounting I and II” at an accredited college or university with a grade of “A” or “B”. A working knowledge of internet research techniques.
  2. A working knowledge of Word and Excel.
Criteria

CRITERIA: The following criteria, which are not the sole criteria used in the final hiring decision, will be used to review the applications of those persons who meet the stated minimum qualifications and to select those qualified applicants who will be interviewed. Other information and observations made during the interview process may be considered in the selection process. Please ensure that your application and attached documents address the criteria listed below:

  1. Extent and quality of learning support/tutoring experience in accounting, writing and internet research.
  2. Extent of accounting courses successfully completed.
  3. Extent of ability to maintain accurate records and files.
  4. Extent of effective communication skills.
  5. Extent of experience and ability to use online homework managers, such as McGraw-Hill’s Connect.
  6. Extent of ability and experience in utilizing computer software, both accounting and general office.
Job Requirements
  1. Must be able to work flexible hours; possible evenings and weekends.
  2. Must be responsible and dependable.
  3. Ability to communicate effectively in spoken and written standard English.
  4. As required by the 1986 Immigration Act, be prepared to present acceptable documentation showing your identity and that you are a U.S. citizen or an alien who is authorized to work.
